Deposit models are empirical models and may be classified by the properties of the model objects (continuous – discrete, static – dynamic, linear – nonlinear, analog – digital), the properties of the originals (descriptive (describe something existing)– prescriptive (describe something that will be constructed) or the modelling purpose (training – knowledge acquisition – decision support – entertainment).
