Magmatic-hydrothermal deposits further include volcanic massive sulphide deposits with Cu, Pb, Zn and Au that formed at oceanic spreading centres at water depths of 3-5 km; such ores still form today and are associated with black and white smoker systems along mid-oceanic ridges.
